Been on a cycle for a few months now and going well. A week ago I injected 375 mg Cyp with 200 mg deca in my right glute. A few days later it swelled pretty bad was painful and i felt like an egg size bump. I was getting concerned and was thinking about going to the doc as i thought it could be an abscess. Really didn't want to do this as gear use would need to be discussed and treatment done. Also concerned about family finding out.

About two days ago, the swelling went down and no more pain. However, i still feel that egg. I do beleive it is going down as well.

Was thinking about waiting another day or two to see how this starts to dissipate before going to the doc.

Thoughts and/or treatment besides doc?

Im not a dr, but sounds like you didnt inject deep enough into the glute. You have to use a 1-1/2g pin and go almost all the way in with it, or you will get a lump. Try taking ibuprofen/Motrin 2-3 tabs, 2-3 times a day and warm compress ( you can use a warm wash cloth. It will help blood circulation to that area. Sounds like the worst is over. I know guys that have taken antibiotic at the first onset of this happening, just to ward off any possible infection. It should go down. Is there redness or changes of color i would perhaps seek a drs advice.

Thanks for the advise. I have always used 1 inch pins but should try the 1.5.

What do you other folks use?

Actually Michele, in the beginning there was redness, soar to the touch and had difficulty sitting and walking. The redness is gone and is no longer soar. No problem walking or sitting now either. Just a bump.

I have always used 1 inch pins

skinny always use a 1-1/2g in the glue just to play it safe.Keep rubbing the area really hard and it will go down. get a rolling pin and roll the area. Or if you have a foam roller at home use that

It is called improvising, lol! I have one that is marble and it is very heavy so it does the trick.

yea it's not an abcess it was probably just a bad inject. An abcess will show within a few hours and be extremely painful with 24 hours and really swollen and red. use 1.5's for the glutes and 1's every where else. You will be good to go in a few days

Thanks for the info and i will get different pins.

I also don't think its an abscess as it does not hurt any longer, not swollen or red. However, this golf ball size thing is still around. Going to use a heating pad and massage it and hopefully it will go down soon.

Any idea on how long it takes to go away?

prob an oil abcess...sub q tisue does not absorb oil very fast, so your body prob treated it like an infection and started forming an abcess around it...once the oil absorbed, the abcess goes away...always go deep in glutes
