It totally depends on the person and if they've been working out, naturally strong, etc.

It's alleged that to prove good health, you should be able to bench your own weight. But don't let a family medical doctor determine that because they're idiots.

A few years ago while on disability at the request of my job, I had to see a company doctor to determine whether or not I'm capable of doing my job. Basically, his decision was made before I stepped foot in that office and a few of his medical assistants told me that. One look at (powerlifter) me and all he saw was size, not years of strength training. He told me that I should not be lifting more than 25 pounds. I looked at him and said with shock, "HOLY SHIT, so I should have gotten a doctor's note last week before I benched pressed that 400 pounds at the gym? And after 20 years of this, it's no wonder I'm not dead yet." His med assistants chuckled and later told me how good it was to make him look stupid when I said that. The doctor didn't know what the hell to say after that.

So as I see it, if you can bench your weight, good.
If you can bench at least 50 pounds more than your weight, great.
Anything more, then you're da man/woman.
