and the PDR reccomends a shot every 2-4 weeks ... i hardly doubt they would give a dose like that if the halflife were 5 days for enanthate...

Yes, I have that exact copy. However, it's old and out-moded method of treatment. Most endocrinologists I know prefer weekly injections of 50-100mg now, as it keeps blood levels more stable. You have to realize, docs who wrote the PDR don't know much about the actual half-life, they don't even have it listed However, those 400mg shots once a month cause bad spikes and valleys, which is why I say that the half-life cannot be very long, but who knows, someone very very smart will come along someday and enlighten us both Long as I get bigger, who really cares anyway!

Half-life of cypionate is 12 days, Ethanate is 14 days. I really dont know where you got your figures. HRT is done every 2 weeks, the doctors must know something right? Bodybuilders take shots more often, to keep blood levels more stable. Androgel is usually a better method for HRT, becuase blood levels are more stable. So if you say an ester like Ethanate has a 5 day half-life, then whats prop, like 4 hours?

You are wrong again there, cyp is longer than enth, not the other way around. Cyp is the longer and heavier ester, and slightly slower release rate. Prop is about 2 days, not 4hrs, phenyl-prop about 2.5-3days. And that's WHY docs use androgel instead of shots more often, b/c patiens don't like weekly shots, but otherwise their blood levels dip too much and they get side effects. 100mg/week is the best replacement, much better than 200mg/e2week. But lets put this to rest, no one seems to know for sure, we've both got reliable sources that disagree.

Man, I was replying to a post at the beginning of this thread, and now that ive finished reading all of them I look like such a moron.
