I've been waiting on a package from a "Canadian" source for close to three weeks. The guy is very reliable and his references checked out. Finally I emailed him the other day and told him that that this was looking like a lost cause. He emailed me back and said he would resend it. Good sources don't want bad publicity so they would most likely replace it versus burning a bridge. Bad news travels fast especially if someone feels they were burned. I know if I got burned I wouldn't let it go. I don't care how much money we're talking about, it's the prinicple. It also helps to be a Mod on an AS board

How can you tell if you have a legit source. I'm a little nervous about buying over the internet. Could you guys please give me a checklist of some sort to help me make sure I'm doing it right? I hope this reply didn't go against board rules.If it did, please delete it and let me know. Thanks.

once you get a source, do the following:

1) Check source on every scammer list you can find.
2) Check source in the secure forum
3) Check source with at least 2 mods from a different board. Or check with some senior members of the board.

The longer you hang out on these boards the better you'll get to know people. Fluid has some sound advice above. Reputation and reliability is everything. Here are a few more suggestions:

1)Find out if the source is willing to replace the package in the case of a seizure or at least willing to split the difference before you order.
2)Order from domestic sources to limit the risk of mail seizures (if you live in the US, even Canada might be too risky these days as I'm finding out with my own package that still hasn't arrived).
3) MOST IMPORTANT: DON'T EVER ORDER FROM A SOURCE THAT SOLICITS YOUR BUSINESS. GOOD SOURCES DON'T ADVERTISE. THEY DON'T NEED TO.

Because its to risky. I had a buddy do that and got busted about a month ago.

what happend to him? Jail? Fine? Was he being sloppy about it?
