Shitty...Customs Letter!

Customs snagged my Fina kit!!

Got the letter today. It says they have a package containing "Unknown liquid and syringes. Please identify these items and fax a copy of the purchase invoice, description, and VALUE"

There was a few extra vials and some bacterostatic(sp?) water in there as well.

I'm sure none of the stuff is illegal in canada to have or import. Think it's worth doing what they want so I can get my kit? I'll just tell em it's Vit B12 I'm converting (if they even ask).

I'm more woried that if I don't explain the package, they'll flag my account and I'll have troubles from now on.

I would think they will flag you anyway due to the contents of the package. i'd call it a loss if it were me bro, but that's just me...

Legal, but shady as hell. I would'nt press the issue if it were me. I mean really - it's a box full of sterile oil and syringes. If you were a cop, what would you think about it? I certainly wouldn't think he was going to baste a turkey with it. Just seems like you would be inviting trouble by contesting it...

that's true, but i'd at least fax the letter over and let them know what it is.

It may be shady, but it is legal and it's not enough cause to take any further action. well, at least in the us and all.

I dont know anything about customs, and the mail system, but I thought they couldnt open your mail unless they had reasonable cause?

I also had some of that Bacto Water and some extra vials as well. Wouldn't surprise me if something broke and the package was leaky..... plus the return addy was pretty shady also.
