  • taking a break ?

well i am feeling a little burnt out from the gym. and i know that a little time off is always good to help the body fully recover. i was wondering if two weeks off is too long or should i only take a week off?

are you on gear right now? I personally dont like to take more than a week off when I'm cycling, but thats just me. Like teekahty said, take a week off, and see how you feel..if you feel you need more time off then take more time off. Always listen to your body.

2 weeks is 1 week too long IMO. After that I feel strength drops too much and getting back in the gym isn't a fun time.

2 weeks is okay. You can return with healthy Test levels, t3, and your cortisol should be low. Thus, when you start training you get a good slingshot effect. Maybe take 1 week off, train 2 x on week two, light whole body workouts, focusing on form, then week 3, hammer it down. Dont cut cals either. Maybe just replace some carbs with fat and protein.

I wouldn't do that, the gym is my escape from everything else that i'm burnt out at. Usually when I'm too tired at the gym I change the training program up and train one body part for a week or two. Sometimes coffee or something with a kick to move a workout helps too. Sometimes it also helps to go to a different gym or get a workout partner. Two days is enough or EOD. Just my 2c

i am burnt out. from my own past experiences when i felt this way and took some time off, i came back with more motivation and intensity than before. plus it is good for the body.
