What's the best way to sterilize gear in order to minimize the risk of infection? I'll probably be doing a cycle of QV test enan and eq in the near future. I hear of some guys missing workouts or having to visit a doc because they have an infection and I'd like to prevent that.

Yes, get a large syringe, 10-20 mls, draw out all your Test or whatever, take needle off, attach the filter securely, attach a large 18g needle to the end of the filter, stick a 25 g in the vial to vent pressure, and without pressing to hard, shoot the gear back into the vial. It goes pretty slow through a .2 filter.I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body

You can also pasteurize your gear.
Put a pin through the rubber stopper of the vial. Then put the vial in a water bath with the water covering 80% of the vial. Then heat the water to 165 F. I like to use an electric frying pan. Keep the temperature at 165 for 30 minutes. Buy a candy thermometer from WalMart for $3.
This will kill any left over bacteria, if any, and the temperature isn't high enough to damage the steroid hormone.

Streptococci are about the same diameter ( 0.5 to 1.25 micron ). Some enterobacteria are 0.3 microns or smaller. Pasteurella are around 0.2 microns, as are Bordetella, on and on.
When a pore size is stated for a membrane, it is the average pore size. Many pores are smaller than 0.45micron, many are larger.
All these low temperature baking schemes, whether with alternating heat or not are not going to kill anything. 150 degrees C ( 300 F ) is the lowest temperature I have seen cited as being effective for dry heat sterilization.
Intermittent heating and cooling is designed to kill spores. You heat the bacteria, killing them, then wait 24 to 48 hours for the spores to germinate, then reheat. Repeat again. It is called TyndallizationI eat at least 6 times a day to build my body

Pasteurization only kills a portion of the bacteria. Leave a sealed carton of pasteurized milk out at room temperature for a day or two and the surviving bacteria will have multiplied and spoiled the milk.
Secondly, pasteurization uses moist heat which is much more effective than dry heat and can be carried out at a much lower temperature.I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body

If you filter with a .2 micron filter and then pasteurize you should have absolutely no worries bro.
Interesting info though pro.
