The TSH response to TRH was mildly depressed when TRH was given 1 hr after liothyronine administration when the serum triiodothyronine (T3) concentration was strikingly elevated, was markedly reduced 16 and 24 hr after liothyronine, was essentially abolished 3 days after liothyronine when the serum T3 concentration was normal, and was normal 7 days after liothyronine administration.

These findings suggest that the more prolonged suppression of TRH responsiveness, observed following the withdrawal of long-term excess endogenous or exogenous thyroid hormones, cannot be ascribed to the intrinsic duration of action of the hormone present at the time of withdrawal, but rather to the prolonged extent of the suppression itself.
Thanks for posting the study, but I think you're misintrepreting it.

They only administered 100mcg of T3 per week, and verified the clearance time.

The summary then says the prolonged supression after long-term use isn't related to the T3 clearance, but based on the amount of time it was suppressed to begin with.

Your natural production will shut down on your dosage schedule, it will take several weeks to recover, which is why you should taper off.

You never answered my question, what will your dosages look like when your 30?
I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul

You don't have to taper for recovery of natural production, the permanent shutdown is a myth, but you will crash afterwards if you don't since it can take 6-8 weeks for natural production to fully resume and you can easily gain back more than you lost.

Not doubting you but with the exception of Billy who like me do regular bloodwork, did the first two people you mentioned do any bloodwork to confirm that it took 6-8 weeks for natural T3 production to fully resume. It is inevitable that a person who was taking T3 will crash since he was taking exogenous T3, just like anything you take to supraphysilogical levels. I'd appreciate it if you would repond back. I'm always open to learning new things.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to look them up but there are MANY studies that show that sort of time range. One of the studies disproving the permanent shutdown myth was surrounded around people who were misdiagnosed with hypothyroidism and were on T3 for up to 30 years; after coming off T3 most were back to normal production levels in around 8 weeks. BigAndy's T3 cycle info does quote that study and a couple of others, along with the appropriate references...

you need to taper down. it's taken me a while to recover from t3 usage, especially when the dose is 100 mcg or higher ... now the highest i go is 50 mcg/day and i taper down for at least a month ...

thanx cj i've been doing 100mcg for about a week now, i think i'll drop it down to 50mcg for the rest of the time. Will i still be able to see the results as good? I'm also taking it with clen/xenadrine

In a dream world, we all stop when we reach our goal. Back when i weighed 185, 200 was big enough. Im 240 now. Im not flaming, I just know from experience, I started cycling when i was 17. I regret it, I was at least 4-5 years premature.
