Natural Test levels and sex drive

I have always wondered why sex drive decreases when using AAS. If Natural test levels are supressed, but your body is still getting a more than average amount of test, then why does your sex drive decrease and make it hard to get an erection. I would think sex drive wouldnt be affected even though natutral test is shut down and your body has a lot of test in it, which should keep your sex drive up. Would it be because of the excess test being aromatized into estrogen, thus giving estrogen side effects that decrease sex drive? Anyone have and info on this and maybe some links to articles that can explain this?

A very good question. Let me say this, its not scientific, if you took someone age 17-22 and surpressed their test levels and took another group 35-45 and how did my friend put it.. being an "old dude".. how did I remove the dagger from my back?... But I digress... It's a good question. Why is it that we can have such a strong desire for sex even though we arent't pumped with test? If you find the answer, please let me know. Sex drive decreases?? I dont know about anyone else, but when Im on a cycle, I would **** a tree if it went walking by me

are you running test? or just suppressing you natty levels with deca. you need to run test with every cycle.

trees and snakes for me. just depends what i'm on. i've not had the deca Di&k problem yet. but as i get older i'm curious to how it will affect me.

Inreasing free testosterone by injection works wonders for your sex drive but it does go the other way when people are taking high doses. Is it because they are taking other compounds that would hurt your sex drive or is it that by taking test in large doses it somehow effects bound test and that has an overall effect on drive? I don't think there are any studies on this and won't be anytime soon. It is something to think about. For the so called deca di ck, testing for
Estrogen
Estrodiol
Prolactin
Progesterone
LH...
will give you the info you need to cure the problem. Usually some cabergoline and HCH will turn things around in 24 hours.

and one more thing. I'm just trying to make the point that there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Just find out what is off and use what drugs we currently have to bring them back into normal range and the rest fixes itself. The original question was a good and couldn't even be explained by my "sports doctor" back in NY who deals with numerous (I saw one myself coming in the back door) pro football players and he tells me lack of sex drive with over a gram of test a week is common.

I ran 1500mg of test.-E for a few months and I had problems getting all the way hard. I also had a really hard time getting off.
What I did was stop the test.-E and ran 400mg/week of t-prop for 2months. This really helped with the sexual sides I was having.
I think maybe I had an over saturation of the sites or something....anyway 1500mg of test-e was awesome but I just cant stay on it for 6 months...lol

Same here...more sexually inspired when on Test! it's when I'm off that sex levels drop....age doesn't help as well.

I have run Test only cycles since running test with decca and tren. The test still shuts me down hard. Even after taking nolvadex and clomid and hcg, it takes me like three months to come back to normal. I am starting to think there is some other cause to me having no sex drive and not being able to get hard even when taking levitra and viagra......especially when just on test.

Read above! You'll never come to the conclusion without bloodwork.

Just had bloodwork done and nothin is wrong and test levels are average around 500, but I cnat remember the exact number.
