Anybody ever taken Vioxx? Its a pain and anti-inflamitory med that I was scrip for my back. Just wondering if anybody has ever used it. I dont think it does shit my fucking back still hurts and I'm taken up to 75mg a day.

My doc gave me that when I had sciatica it didn't help. Then she gave me celebrex, it helped a bit .

Didn't help me. Ibuprofen and vitamin B6 that's what works for me.

That shit tears my gut up. Celebrex was a better choice for me.
But Vioxx may work great for you.

My doc prescribed vioxx for my torn up knee. I thought it was supposed to be used for joints only, never heard of it being used for the spine, but what do I know about that. It is supposed to be an "as needed" medication. My knee was so stiff before I got on it, then after my squat and leg presses went up over 100 pounds each. My knee bends easily now, and is rarely stiff. I'm sure AS helped my knee heal up quite a bit, too!

Vioxx isn't meant for the spine per se. For football54's case for his back relief which might have been caused by a pinched sciatic nerve.

Bro, first of all dont take more than 50mg's ed. 75mg's is too much, and is not indicated for usage. Take 50mg in one pop, and thats all you should take in one day. Vioxx is very similar to Ibuprophen, but it has been proven to be safer on your stomach. In terms of effectiveness its not going to be any better than ibu's. If it dosent work, try some Alieve, or Ibu. You can take up to 1000mgs of alive, and 2400mgs of ibu's ed. Give that a shot, otherwise you may need some narcotics to deal with your pain. Talk to your doc about that. Good luck

I have been taken the vioxx shit for a week and nothing has happened. I think I am going to try some celebrex. I am going to get a shot next mon by the doc. Vioxx must not work for some people like me.
