Re: ANY DRAWBACKS FROM STAYING ON....

I get bloodwork ever 8 weeks. I run 12 week cycles that one would consider light (400 mg test/400mg deca per week) and then drop down to 200 mg test for HRT while i'm "off".
The only draw backs I can think of is... if you want to have children. If you want children, bein on AAS will reduce your spermitogenisis so being on it for a prolonged period of time will affect your total sperm count and your ability to have children. Beside the fertility thing, there are issueus with the liver. Clearing AAS from your body includes the use of your liver. Using too much or multiple AAS will tax your liver and if you do not come off will eventually hurt it permanantly.

the only drawback i can see is not being able to get gear to stay on. if doc won't prescribe or only prescribe minimal amts for "maintenance" it would suck. if i....i mean someone could keep getting adequate amounts then i see no downside to fighting the onset of weakness of aging. i'm all for it.

Re: ANY DRAWBACKS FROM STAYING ON....

Actually, my drawbacks are coming from being clean of it.

Ironically, prior to returning to work, I was seen by a cardiologist hired by the Union and company. He did bloodwork on me and suggested that I have my personal doctor look at them. She explained to me that my thyroids were "kicking" and that she would prescribe some Sythroids (T4). But I simply told her that it wouldn't be necessary. She asked me what I was doing and I confessed to her of the use of test E, deca, and T3. And yes, it apparently had my thyroids so wired up that I have been losing massive weight since the beginning of the year.

Well, she suggested another bloodwork done and asked that I refrain from using ANYTHING. So for 6 weeks, I stayed clean and concentrated on my cardio most of the time. After having had 4 knee operations, I've been on deca for them and other joints and Test E to counteract against the deca side effects. Both have been greatly successful for me.

By my 4th week, I was steam cleaning at work for a few days and my knees were murder. I was so tempted to inject myself but somehow fought off the pain and temptations. By 5th week, I was having joint pains in places that I've never had problems. Again, I fought off the pains and temptations. Well, I had the bloodwork done last week but is still waiting for the results. I could no longer fight the pain and gave into temptation the day after my tests, in hope that my thyroids were normal again. As usual, my doctor suggested that I stay off of the gear and even throw it all away. Not saying too much towards that suggestion or what I would do, I simply told her that I'd have to think about it, since throwing it away would be like tossing money into a barn fire.

I was on HRT for a little over a year, from gel to 600mg/wk of Test E depending on where i was at. After a year of being shut down (and I use hcg religiously) coming off in Sept was hell. didn't lose any muscle due to my experience but still don't feel 100%....friggin sucks! Going to try and stay clean until Jan or Feb to clean out real good!

OK this is just me and I'm not telling anyone what to do. I'm giving first hand information regarding your question. Let me give you a little background. I have been in the iron game since 1975. So I'm no youngster. I know when I was in high school that I was going to use roids. I've been and still am driven to compete and increase my powerlifts. I have been followed by a dr. or drs. from the start. I have copies of all my blood work. You need this to make sure you are healthy on the inside and if something goes wrong you can catch it and correct it. As far as roids, I did what most everyone did. I would cycle on for x weeks and then be off for the same or longer amounts of time. Blood work was done at least 3-times a year but sometimes more then that. I've used just about everything under the sun. Blood work came in handy because I could see what each combo or individual item worked. This went on for years, with no real problems. I even had my kids while on test. Now for the last 12 years I have been on year round. Guess what, my blood work is still ok. I did have one draw back. I shut down my system and need to be on test for the rest of my life. I would never tell anyone to follow what I did, but as long as your smart and your honest with your dr. He can help you more then hurt you. As far as gains now, they are slow, but if I was off I'd be a mess. I have beaten myself up pretty good powerlifting since the beginning. Anyway if your young, be smart and take your time, cycling is the best way to go. I'm in my mid-50's so my need are not going to be the same as someone half my age. Well you asked for honest information and this is as honest as you get. Last thing if I had the chance to do over again, I wouldn't change a thing with the roids, but I would change my training program. Hope this helps.

Drawbacks to staying on? Me personally my RBC and hemocrit are elevated enough to get harassed by the endocrinologist. It is also a struggle to maintain healthy levels of cholesterol. Those are my top two drawbacks that effect me
