I am preparing to return to my training regimen after some time off for knee surgery. They scoped my right knee repairing a lateral and medial meniscus tear, removing some fragments, and shaving off about 50% of the knee cap. Before I start training again, I have several questions concerning my cycle plan, ability to train legs after the surgery, and diet.
I am 47 years old and have been training for about 5 years now. I have 10-12 cycles behind me. I am 5’11” tall and weigh 224.6 lbs. at 11.5% BF.
1. After the surgery, my doctor said I was bone to bone with no cartilage left. Surgery was 3 weeks ago and I seem to be getting around fairly good. My wife {my avatar} and I hope to compete in June 2009. I have serious doubts that these wheels of mine will support very much weight as doing squats with just my body weight {even before the surgery} is difficult. What will be the best way to effectively train my legs with this bad knee?
2. My Cycle plan is for 26 weeks. I plan on doing 750 MG of Sustanon along with 450 MG of Deca weekly. I also plan on 3 IU’s of KeFei GH Monday – Friday along with 25mcg of T-3. I will also be taking Celebrex, a daily Centrum vitamin, vitamin D with calcium, and a chondroitin/glucosamine tab of 1200 mgs each daily. My PCT will be 200 MG of Clomid 3 weeks after my last injection on day 1, 100 mg daily for the next 10 days, and then 50 mgs daily for 20 more days for a total of 31 days.
3. My diet plan will be to add some mass over the 26 week cycle eating about 16-18 calories per pound with a macronutrient ratio of 60/30/10 {protein/carbs/fat}. I will eat 5-6 meals per day with a PWO shake containing 45 grams of dextrose and whey protein each.
4. I will train 5 days per week {Monday-Friday} in the evening doing one body part per day and working abs on Mon-Wed-Friday. I will do cardio in the morning which will consist of about 15 minutes of the stretching exercises I normally do during karate night{s} coupled with 30-45 minutes of sparring. I and my wife will spar. We will also do some heavy bag work. She currently is the state champion in her age division, “Women-30 and over” in the state of Alabama. Sparring with her is indeed a very good workout. We MAY try to continue with our formal karate training which is Monday and Wednesday for 1 hour each night as the cardio is extreme to say the least. But I have concerns over the knee as it really began to give me serious problems 6 months into my karate training. If we are able to continue the karate training, this would have us weight training 5 nights per week and training in karate 2 nights per week. So, we would effectively have no off time. I am not sure how our CNS will handle that?
Thanks for help with this plan. Maybe I should have posted this in several forums, “diet”, “training”, “AAS”, etc. but it seemed to make more sense to put all the info in on post.
Thank guys…it is great to be back to the board!
