I don't understand why anyone would be tested unless it is a mind altering drug. On what grounds would they test you? In sports they say it helps you do better. So if you do your job better should you be tested? Maybe to keep you on equal ground with your fellow employees.

People that know me from the old boards know what I do, I'm a Correctional Officer. They don't test where I work and I'm glad as hell. Only me and another guy that used to work there use aas. I don't do rec drugs at all. Some of the administration asked some real general questions a few years ago when I was pushin 265-270 lbs and the shirts were gettin real tight. lol I told them I was eating like a pig and I always had a protein shake around. I'm sure they were suspicious, but I don't think they really cared too much, I never heard anything more.

I tell you, when you're jacked and walk through the housing units, it helps with the respect factor among the inmates. I never have trouble with them and I've never been personally attacked in 13 years. If there is trouble and I show up to assist, that's usually it, it's over. Some of the new guys will test me occassionaly. The old timers try to straighten them out, as they know what goes down if it gets physical. We're in there with up to 50 plus inmates at a time, often by yourself, so I'll take any advantage I can get.

It was never even an issue for LE until this baseball bull sh##. Now its news so the suits want to put their nose into it. I can't wait for this baseball stuff to just wash away and things can get back to normal.

of course I do not think they should test......financially I do not think most depts want to spend the large amounts of money that it would take to test for something other then rec drugs. Especially when they are going to test 500 plus people for just a few jobs.

I am very close with many people in LE and have been for a long time... Ive never heard of anyone testing for AAS ever.... like someone said above. they really dont care about it unless it becomes a problem for specific reasons..

and like someone else said above too, no one should be tested for it anyway, unless they are in professional athletics, in my opinion at least...

I think cops should be able to take "performance enhancers" considering their performance could come down to their life or death.

Of course, I also think civilians should be able to.

I grew up in ATL and I knew several LE when I was a bouncer and they have to be able to bring it in a split second. They should be able to use aas for the sake of their well being. Now, that's ATL. Out some where in BFE, I would say that's a whole different story.

But, I think the aas thing is blown way out of proportion but a bunch a pencil neck slide rule carrying geeks!!!

The gym I workout at we have a city cop who did get tested about three months ago for aas. He showed up for work one day and they took him in uniform to the clinic. He tested clean. this guy 220lb and can bench 530 raw. This guy all chest and shoulders, he can only squat 315.

LE's are now asking in background investigations if you have ever used AAS's. Some say that anything over 3 cycles a year is a disqualifier!! Haahaa... Kinda funny since most people only do 3 (unless you are on HRT, but that is different). As said above, it is just one of those things you don't bring up.
Kinda like "Don't ask, Don't tell" but regarding AAS's.

I think the street guys would not even bother with AAS's (maybe a few cop nerds..) but the only LE focusing on AAS's are fed's and they pull the strings at the local level when they want something done.

I THINK ALL COPS SHOULD BE JACKED...I THINK IT SHOULD BE A REQUIREMENT IF YOUR ON THE FORCE DEALING WITH NUTS ON THE STREETS..BUT THATS JUST ME WHY GIVE THE TRUE CRIMINAL THE ADVANTAGE?

As long as if they do get tested they don't pull the pooooce card and rat out their friends on the boards.
