I tried taking a week off and lowering the volume/intensity.
the off time was a good break and didn't drop my strength much.

What is the point of lowering your intensity level post-cycle?? Clomid is designed to restore your hpta. Working out helps to elevate your natural testosterone levels. I would say that your intensity level post-cycle should be just as high if not higher than during your cycle.

It's my understanding that working out "uses up" testosterone. Lowering the intensity, or taking a break from working out would prove to be beneficial in bringing back your test levels to normal at such a crucial time. Am I wrong in thinking this?
I bend but I do not break.

I have never heard of that theory. Not to say it is incorrect but that would be news to me. My understanding is the complete opposite.

Bump for more info on this.

Well i dont know about test levels but i read intense trainging and heavy lifts like squat will make your body release more growth hormone or something in that nature...

I lower my volume, and train 5 days instead of 6. I also include clenbuterol, and increase my cals slighlty wether cutting or bulking for the two weeks i run clomid.
I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body

Exactly my point. Heavy squats and dead lifts release growth hormone in your body, which elevates your hpta. After a cycle your T-levels are at a low point and you need all the natural stimulation possible to restore your hpta.

I take a week off during the tapering off time. The week after my last injection, I'll take it off. My thinking on this is the AAS in my body will help me recover better from my routine while on my cycle. If I use prop at the end, I take the week before my last week of prop off.

Greg , I know where u got the idea of " working out, using all the tests" ... See its the difference between the anabolic and catabolic state...

when ur in anabolic state ( on cycle) simple compounds trasform in to more complex compounds ( like bone and muscle) and catabolic is the exact opposite.. WHen ur body destroys all the complex compounds and burns calz ... ( what we dont want)

So in conclusion, after u get off your cycle, ur body's test production delays for a while ( till clomid gets the balls runnin) and that puts ur body in a catabolic state. Now if u train with the same frequency and volume as when u were on AS ur body will break down muscle tissue since its in a catabolic state...

I did a bit of research o this topic and i think i am goin to Follow a basic powerlifting whole body routine for post cycle... which will keep my strength up ( intesity) and keep the volume and frequency down... just untill my test level is back to normal ( orclose)

any way i know u didnt want to hear from some one who is on his first cycle( me) lol but owell... just feel like typing today

I train the same...I do change my diet...I found out that your diet and correct way of a post cycle regiment is the key.

Well, I looked into it and the general consensus is to lower the intensity of your workouts. Trying to maintain the strength you felt while you were on will just lead to disapointment. Accept the fact that you will loose some strenth and size.

If you try to keep the same intensity off as you did when on you will burn out. You can't be 100% all the time. You body needs a break. If you don't give it one it will do it for you and it will be alot worse.

But keep in mind, for the most part only you will notice the difference.

same here....i usually take the second week of clomid off
