    Unfortunately there isnt enough detail in this whole thread to make any sort of desicion whether it is an absess or knot..(get it? )

    Hopefully he Gunner will respong with some more details.
    Approx size
    how long has it been this way
    whats type of AS and brand
    and so on

      You have all probably had a hundred small abcesses and never even knew it. It's oly when your body can't fight the infection and absorb the oil that it gets out of hand. I would hardly run to the emergency every time I get a knot from an inject. With all the high quality gear nowdays I'd just have to check myself in permenantly.

          I am not flaming nobody. I think it is poor advice to tell someone that an abcess is no big deal though.We all get knots and lumps from time to time from injections, but these are NOT abcesses. Sometimes they are oil abcesses ,where the body treats the oil as an infection, and yeah they do go away, but that is diffrent than a true abcess caused by Bacteria.People have died from abcesses spreading, and it can also turn to gange grene. If you have an area that turns purple,gets hot to touch and causes fever, you have an infection and better treat it as a serious case and not just wait for it to go away!
