I use 1" for quads. I have done 3 cc in my quads with no problem.

It being your first shot in the quads expect some soreness with 3cc

I split my 3cc's worth into 2- 1 1/2cc injects per week. I'm kinda scared of an oil abcess from shooting too much at one time

If you have meat, then go 1.5, if not then 1. I go 1.5 because I have big thighs, 26.5'. So it all depends on your thighs.
