I've also heard that 21 days on/off at 25 mcg was good too, but I don't think you should ever just jump right into 50 mcg or off of 50 mcg. That's just my opinion. If you think about the consequences of phuking up your thyroid, it's always best to be very very smart with T3. You mess that thing up and you are on thyroid meds for the rest of your life. I know a dude it happened to. He did T3 for too long (I think it was 8 weeks) and when he got off his weight just started going up and up and up. Within no time he was a totaly fat ass and his doc told him he had hypothyroidism. Now, he's a thyroid med lifer.
The most suggest ramp goes like this:
5/40/55 - 5% of the time on ramping up to max dose, 40% of the time on at max dose, 55% of the time on ramping down to slowly come off. I'm currently doing a 5 weeker but I'm going 25 for week 1, 50 for week 2, 75 for week 3, 50 for week 4 and 25 for week 5. I know several guys who have done it this way with no issues too. It's less time at max dose which should reduce the possibility of messing up your thyroid.
I personally would not go on or off of anything higher than 25 mcg, I think that's the maximum start and finish to avoid a negative shock. This is just based on what I"ve been told and what I've read. I do know guys who have started with more and came off from higher doses and so far, no probs, but it's not a chance I would take personally. I've even talked with Mikey about it and he says to stay at 25 mcg. This coming from a guy who high doses everything. He's the one that does the 21 days on/off.
Anyways, I hope that helps.

^damn tman, that's crazy with the hypothyroid thing. how mcuh was he taking, you know?
He never said how much, he just told me he took it for too long and his thyroid quit working as well. From what others have said, it's a crap shoot. Your thyroid can be effected by being on too long or by going too high with your dose. I think if you stayed as low as 50 mcg but you ramped up and down, you would have nothing to worry about.

PS - I should say this too, that dude I mentioned is the only dude I've met that has had any probs from T3. So, out of all the dude on here and all the dudes in real life, for only one to have issues shows that the odds are low IMO. The guy either did the dosing wrong or maybe he had a bad thyroid and the T3 was the straw that broke the camels back. I'm not trying to scare you about it, just make sure you have enough info to make a wise decision.
If you look at Mikeys way fo low dose with 21 day on/off over a longer period of time, that seems like a smart plan. It's not a hgih dose, it's not a long time on, but it frequent enough that over a few month should yield some great results.
