in my opinion steroids were never intended to be used for dieting. when cutting the steroid really justs maintains muscle to a certain point. steroids were intended to maximize protein uptake. if you cut your calories significantly while cutting, you are wasting your goodies in a sense. this is the reason i eat 70 percent protein while cutting. its the only way i see to get the best out of the steroid and still lose weight. believing this i still am not satisfied with natural dieting and then a bulking cycle, its just not easy for me to lose weight. i think the trick is to find the correct protein/fat/carb balance to achieve weight loss and still get enough protein to actually gain lbm not just maintain.

While I agree with you, I think your post is a little contradictory.
You say that steroids were not meant to be used when dieting, but then you say; and many would agree; that all steroids do while cutting is preserve muscle.
So they are meant to be used when dieting: to maintain muscle.
If you cut your calories significantly, the steroids will save the muscle you have; and posibly grow more, given diet and training are correct; so you're not "wasting" your goodies, you're using them for exactly what you intended in this case: preserving your muscle, shedding your fat, and getting ripped!
You're absolutely right that you have to dial in that diet to get the results when dieting and using steroids, adn that "perfect" protein/carbs/fat ratio to lose fat while gaining some LBM is different for everyone.

I figured I'd get a wise response!
I didn't mean for my response to come off negatively (and I don't think you took it that way judging by your).
I actually responded because I agree with your post, and come April when I start my Fina/Prop cycle, I'll put these theories to the test!!!thebionicman@hush.com
