you can't buy it, you can't sell it. yet you can own it. but someone has to be buying it and distributing it in order for you to have it in your possession. I love the law.

giving as a gift is probably distribution... in the US... if you drop an amp on the ground and some asshole picks it up, you can be charged with distribution. and no, im not kidding.

The problem is, that there is no limit to what they can class as distribution or personal use. So they CAN charge you for one amp if they want....you would get off on something like that, but they can still charge you and cost you a lot of cash. Just a heads up b/c legal is such a lose term in the regard.

B_G is correct, they could charge you, but I doubt the charges would stick, because they would be unable to prove it unless they caught you selling it to someone.
