damn thats wierd as sh_t .I did quads and couldnt walk it felt like someone took a hammer and banged my quads and felt sore everywhere .plus I used prop .Yeah I would go see a doc

Years ago I was using test suspension, which by the way hurts worse than anything EVER!! I shot it everywhere. After about 2 weeks on, my Rt. shin starting aching and swollen and got worse over about 3 days. While sitting at my part time job, i started pushing on it. Just felt like something was there. Out came about a solid 10 cc's of puss from a1/4'' hole in my shin and INSTANT relief. I did this 2 more times and it went away. I obviously was injecting into my shin bone.
Well, if you shot your glute and the swelling is in your thigh, I would say it has nothing to do with the shot. Most abcesses take place at the site of injection and are usually caused by something unclean. If you had something unclean in your blood system you would be swollen in several places (throat, armpits, and other lymphnodes (sp)). More than likely, you got bit by a spider or something and it just happened to me after you shot. I've been bit by stuff while I slept and woke up all swollen and red in an area. It usually goes away pretty quickly. Where as if this was a real abcess the pain would not get better but worse until you introdue an anti-biotic.

no med insurance..but i have acess to antibiotics so if it doesnt go away ill try the heat and anti-bs thanks
NO HEAT! Cold compress and antibiotics. However, it still doesn't explain HOW and WHY you got it? You haven't shot your quads in 2 years. Are you sure you weren't bitten by something? Even a mosquito in that spot?

I wonder if tanning lotions you put on makes it unclean ,I know they stain into your skin so there still some on even after taking a shower ?

no way you have an absess in your thigh, from injecting in you bum...not going to happen...An abcess is the bodys way of keeping an infection localized..The infection would be in the glute(entry point of bacteria), so the body would form an abcess around it to keep the infection from spreading

Don't know. You never know how the inside or your body will react to things. I don't use them so I never thought about it but if I did then I would wipe with a few cotton balls of alcohol just to be sure.

Although the abcess is usely at the injection site, it doesn't mean it has to be.Whatever the cause of the abcess that happened during the injection. Your body has to react to isolate the foriegn body/infection 1st. That doesn't happen immediatly. You could def. have an abcess elsewhere from an injection.
