I started a light fifth cycle of Tren/Sust 2 days ago (which I think has nothing to do with this issue, and it's been over a year since my last cycle) and I have NO baldness or serious thinning of hair in my family. Just within the past week my hair line has receded (sp) quite a bit. I JUST got out of the shower not 5 minutes ago and noticed TONS of hair on my hands while washing it and more on my towel when drying. I'm am going insane over this and am scared to death! I never thought that I would have to worry about this so I am completely ignorant when it comes to prevention/treatment. I will be searching most likely all night on this matter but I am BEGGING for any and all links to articles, personal suggestions or any help at all to help me lay this issue to rest. I will be making an appointment in the morning so if any script suggestions are very helpful. Thanks to any and all that help!

Re: My new hair loss CRISIS!
most stuff wont help the front of your hairline. tren wrecks alot of guys hairlines, most things that protect against androgenic alpecia wont help as tren dosnt aromitize to DHT
i use nizoral shampoo and minoxidil neither will have much effect in the front but they may help a little

Start saving up your pennies for a future transplant...
I know I would consider having a procedure done by a competent doc down the line if need be.
To the people that say just shave it: NEWSFLASH-------THE MAJORITY OF WHITE GUYS OUT THERE DON'T LOOK GOOD WITH A SHAVED HEAD-------SORRY BUT THAT'S THE STONE COLD REALITY (p.s. I'm not gay either)
Seriously though, there are oral meds such as ******** (finasteride) and avodart (dutasteride) which can help to SLOW (and in very few cases halt loss/thicken up one's hair). Talk to your doctor. I used finasteride for roughly two years, and it did slow down loss substantially (almost halted entirely). I ceased use because I couldn't stand the side effects (mental fog and lowered libido), which weren't terrible but nonetheless were still apparent. I'm considering giving avodart a try (although not at the recommended .5mg/d), as I have taken a slight set back (hair wise) since quitting finasteride about a year ago. My hair still looks okay, but lacks the thickness I once had.
Forget the nioxin, and try using nizoral (with a good conditioner as it'll dry out your hair) two to three times per week. Nizoral will help to cleanse your hair of DHT.
Minoxidil (rogaine) is an OTC growth agent. It works so-so (at best) IMO. Worth a shot to see if you can thicken things up ($25 for a three month supply at WalMart). Topical spironolactone is an anti-androgen which I recommend using, especially while on cycle.

Re: My new hair loss CRISIS!
I've been sporting the GI cut for the past five years while I was in prison. Now that I finally started growing it back out this crap just HAS to happen. I guess I could go back to the 'ol "High 'n Tight".
Thanks for the informative post HeHateMe, I was considering finasteride from a research company...I think it's worth a shot. The same goes for the Nizoral.
I have a simple (stupid) question that the search feature couldn't answer for me last night...When you lose hair due to AAS, does it grow back? Once the roots are gone that's it, right?FG Newbie since 2003

If you're responsive to treatments (internal DHT blockers, minoxidil, topical anti-androgens etc.), then there's a chance your hair will grow back. At the very least, in most cases, you'll be able to slow down your rate of hairloss with a proactive approach.
