i am seeing so many posts about people using very high doses of androgens and harsh orals (namely anadrol) that i'm going to get on my soap box for a second and try to offer some advice. i've been at this for over 10 years, and i don't pretend to know everything, but i think i know enough to speak up here.
bodybuilding is a marathon, not a sprint. if you want to "get big", the answer isn't 1000mgs of test a week and 150mg of drol a day plus insulin and growth hormone and igf and whatever else some yahoo on the internet says is the magic formula to freakish size. there are three factors that weigh much more heavily in your pursuit of the physique you want: genetics, discipline, and time. no amount of drugs will make up for a lack in those departments.
the fact is that you are going to have to dedicate your life to a strict regimen of eating by the clock, training, and getting enough rest. you can't go out to the local college night and suck down 10 mugs of beer and gorge yourself on pizza in a drunken stupor and expect to develop a good physique.
you also can't go reading flex or musclemag and emulate the supposed "routines of the pros" (these always make me laugh) and expect to develop jay cutler's physique. those routines are bullshit and are designed to sell products, period.
you are going to have to become a student of training, a student of mastering the anabolic diet, AND a student of getting adequate rest if you want any longevity in this pursuit.
anybody can stick a needle in their ass and pop a few tabs, get bloated and fat, and go out to the clubs in a tight shirt. big ****ing deal. these are the same guys who will burn out first, and end up with less muscle than they started with plus a set of juggs to boot.
do drugs help? absolutely. the fact is that they will take you to a level that you could not attain naturally (well, for most people that is) without them. but they aren't the answer to your inability to hit 250 @ 8%.
and guess what? even if you do everything right, for 15 years straight, you are still limited by your own genetic potential. there is nothing you can do to change that. look at the lower ranks of the pros.
so , before you go risking your freedom and your health, figure out what is truly important to you, and if it is even possible to attain it. and if it is possible, is it worth those risks?
