it has been shown, in terms of protein synthesis and anabolism, that 2mg per pound is the optimal amount. less than this greatly reduces the anabolic effect but still gives you the joint therapy. more than 2mg per pound of bodyweight has not been shown to produce and significant benefits and usually just increases the sides.

deca is a very powerful steroid, but it is dose dependent. unlike test, where more is usually better (except for the sides) increasing the amount you take beyond what they have proven to be the most effective dose just doesn't do much.

basically taking more than 2mg per pound is wasting deca; stretch your cycle out instead.

and i'll just echo what everyone else has said about taking it alone... deca is supremely suppressive of endogenous test! it's best to take at least as much test if not more than the amount of deca you are taking.

i really want to avoid test. If i cant avoid test im probably not going to do a cycle, losing more of my hair is not really an option for me at this point in my life. Is there anything i can take that is not harsh on the hair?

i have the same prob and you can do ******** but i think test alone is not as bad on the hair as like eq is.

maybe just run low dose cycle
test and deca and proper pct.

you may react well to lose dose cycle who knows

i never had problems with deca dick..but it does shut me down real hard. even with test..you might not even run into the problem w/ deca only but its a possibility..have you thought of EQ only instead at a high dose..its not too rough on your hair

no one said u wont, i just havent seen any reports confirming i will. I was thinking b/c everyone says test is hard and i have always used test as a base my hair has always shed. If i decide to do something its going to either be like 250 mg of test and 250 or 200 mg deca or just 500 mg test. NOt sure going to wait a little bit be4 i decide.

damn, thanks for the info rado. Im def going to look into it. Seems like im basically shiat out of luck. If i decide to do another cycle i might just do 400 mg a test a week for like 12-16 weeks, but if shedding starts getting to much ill stop the cycle. In the meantime if anyone knows of anything that wont make me shed, spread the wealth. Thanks for the help fellas.

I've ran deca in all my cycles (3) and have yet to experience any hairloss. Like everyone has suggested i have always ran a test with it as well.

My 1st cycle was deca only. This was back when I didnt have much knowledge about AAS, a friend got it for me and told me how to run it. I even ramped it up and down. LOL. I got good results though and never got deca dick. Knowing what I do now, I would have used test with it.
