Basically what you need is a "metabolic profile" something that has liver function tests, creatinine (kidney function) and electrolytes. You need a CBC (complete blood count) to look for anemia or too many red cells. Lipid profile checks your cholesterol. Depending on where you are a test level may help, but if your nads are back to normal, and your desire and function is OK, I'm not sure this is needed.

Most doctors will do this as part of a physical, although at 30 years old it might be a good idea to remind the doctor about cholesterol.

For those over 40 who are long term users, it might be a good idea to request a PSA as prostate cancer risk is increased.

Do you plan on telling the doc that you have used AAS?

Do you guys just go into the drs office and ask for blood work? And if so if your levels are off what do you tell the dr you've been doing?

This is what I did before I started my cycle. I went to the doctors and told him what I had planned for the next twelve weeks. I told him I wanted to be as precautious as possible. He went over the form with all the differnt types of test. It was really all mumbo jumbo to me. When the results came back the doctor told me I was good to go !! Just be truthful, honest and show that you have researched all the side effects related to AAS. My doctor was pleased to hear that I have done extensive research on this subject before I made the plunge to the dark side. If your doctor gives you flack then I suggest you look for a new one.

i did go to my doc and asked for blood work on my hpta..they ran test, est, progest,lh,fsh, and more.....anyway my test was low, everything else was good,so i said i used andro at high doses and they believe that because all docs believe andro = steriod.

in my opinion there is no need to lie to your won dr. if you do it my misguide him, and he wont be able to help u as accurately as he would have been if you were honest. If he doesnt consent AAS use try to find a dr who will. its your health. lies will bring info that doesnt apply to you.

So I got the blood and urin work done and everything came back wiothin normal ranges. I was a little mortified though to learn that my test levels (norm. range 6-30) was scored at 7 !?! I'm 30 and had finished my last cycle Jan. 5 Any comments?
I had gone to a walk in clinic for this and when I came to his office the second time for results I confided to him my AAS usage and asked the doct to follow my health with respect to my AAS use. He said no that he ddidnot feel comfortable with this.
