Can the metal tops on multi-dose bottles trigger metal detectors

This may or may not be a stupid question. I have family leaving for Mexico this week and I would like them to bring me back a souvenir.

I was wondering if the metal on the multi-dose bottle could trigger the metal detectors. Perhaps I should be asking if there are any detectors in the first place and or body xray machines to worry about.

I'm not totally for sure as I know sometimes they don't go off on every metal but once at LAX I set off the metal detector with the pair of tearaway pants with metal buttons. I would hope for the safety based soley on safety that they would set them off.

I dont think aluminum sets them off. I could be wrong. Maybe it depends on the sensitivity.

In HS, I had a bullet on my keychain and it never set ours off.

Just take it off. It will still be sterile, just dont the rubber plug off.

Here is another question.

If someone were to "HOOP" the product would it adversly affect it? I do remember reading somewhere that storing gear above a certain temp can destroy A.S rendering it inactive.

Booty Plug it? Damn i could barely fit a 1ml vial up there. But hey if you can convince your brother to stick somethin up his ass for you, mgith be overkill but would work.

i think the tops are aluminum, but take a magnet with you to find out. better that than having to give your gear to the damn border patrol!

hey fellas, i'm pretty sure aluminum will set off the metal detector, it is metal, and once i had a coke can bong and tried walking into six flags and it set it off, The guard asked me to step back and try again, i pulled the coke can out of my pocket crushed it and threw it away and made it through the next try. a little scary though.

i would take the metal top off....no reason to chance it....it might set it off if they increased security or sensitivity

I went through the mental detectors in San Diego with two vials of Norandren 50 taped to my leg and didn't set off the detectors. Just a thought.
