what brand of creatine to most of you use while on your cycle or during pct. A guy I know at gnc gave me a bottle of their pro performance brand basic creatine and a bottle of cell-tech which is basically the same thing I think. Just wanted some opinions on which was better.

Re: Is one better than the other?
depends on the pro performance - I think that is straight creatine without any sugars added (you need sugars for the uptake of creatine into your system).
The Cell Tech has plenty of sugar.
Honestly, I have used many different brands and find it is the least hassle for ME to use something like cell-tech, met-rx mass action, EAS phosphagain or betagen because they have already given you the rights sugar/creatine ratio.

I am a micronized creatine fan too. The last time I bought Cell Tech...I got fat as hell with all the sugar, plus I had like sugar crashes or something, it made me feel bad. I think it had like 75gms of sugar per dose....way too much. I use regular creatine and mix with grape juice or just plain water.Strength, Power, and Love of the game is all you need.

Most of these new Creatine products main ingrediants is L-Arganine for nitrogen retention. So if your not looking to spend the extra bucks, you can preload your receptors with and shot of a couple caps of L-Arganine with your creatine, or i sometimes take the l-arginine caps open them up and stir them in with the creatine as it absorbs quicker.

Originally posted by mick-GI just get plain micronized creatine, because it is the finest powder and dissolves better, and it is also the cheapest way to go. I always take it with Welch's Grape juice.
Did you know that grape juice always enhances medicines and supplements. My fiancee learned that in medical school. So wise choice to mix with.

Re: Is one better than the other?
studies have shown that loading isn't really very useful with creatine - so you don't really need to waste that extra serving or two.
I've done 6-8 weeks on creatine and normally I took it after my workout because of the sugar.
On a side note, the other added products in pre-mixed creatine such as HMB and L-arginine can get expensive if you buy them all individually, too.

You can save a lot of money by creating your own concoctions, and a "creatine delivery/transport system" is a good example. For the purpose of creatine absorption, Gatorade is The Bomb. I use it in my PWO shake...75 gm sugar in the Gatorade powder, 60 gm whey protein, 10 gm creatine, water. Works great, even when I run slin PWO .There is no substitute for experience......
