**What is Prednisone?

I am pretty well versed in the juice world, but don't know the details of this one. A chic I work with has recently had a bad case of Chrones Disease and takes this stuff. Her face looks like the stay puff marshmallow man.

It's an internal cortisone. It's usually prescribed for bad inflammation, some allergies, etc. One of the common side effects is "Moon Face" from the water retention it causes. It is not anabolic; it's catabolic.

It's a Corticosteroid and as Redballer said, not anabolic at all, but catabolic.

I use it for poison ivy.

It sure does make you hold water. When my asthma flares up, I usually take it for a week.

I've had to use it a few times, it really boosts your appetite, but not somehting you would want to use if you didn't have to.

Prenisone

Prednisone is basically the exact opposite of an anabolic steroid. It causes muscle loss, bone loss, increases fat storage, high blood glucose levels. Prednisone is much stronger than cortisol on a mg per mg basis.
Also crohn's has been linked to the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis infection. There is two antibiotics that have to be used long term to knock out this infection for good. Please read about it on:
