If u flex the area, will that give u a better chance of hitting the muscle properly will doing that cause a probem when injecting, or does it not matter? I know about aspiration. Hey its my first, I want to pass on the experience if all goes well/or not!
Just seeing if anyone has a good technique.

Flexing makes it harder to push the pin through, and hurts more too!

Don't flex, I was getting a tetanus shot and just as the nurse was stickin' it in I flexed. The nurse immediately pulled the pin out, she didn't like it at all - she said it would cause bruising, and it did.
Next time DO NOT push the pin all the way in! if the needle breaks you will not be able to retrieve it if you push it all the way in, though I've never broken a needle, it's just another precaution!

yes you can. you simply press down on the skin around the needle, and use tweezers to get it out. i had the unfortuante luck of having to help my boy do this
