  • do you think it's time to change ? is my feeling right ?

ok well since october I went back to the gym, training and clean diet .

I needed to drop that bastard bf% because of 1 year with no gym and junk food .. several problems had taken me away from gyms ..

since october I dropped a good amount of fat and have now a reasonable bf% ... not the one I wish I'd have but looks +/- ok

I decided to change from now on : I mean ok, I dropped fat and gained almost all the muscles I lost since 1 year and I look better now than when I stopped .
IS IT TIME TO STOP TRYING TO LOSE BF AND TRY TO ADD MORE MUSCLES ?
IS'NT IT A MOMENT WHERE IT'S TIME TO STOP TRYIN LOSE BF AND ADD MORE MUSCLES TO BE ABLE TO LOSE MORE BF DUE TO AN INCREASED LBM ?

not asking for any kind of training/diet/roid cycle , just a question to know WHEN IS IT TIME TO STOP CUTTING ONLY AND TRY TO ADD NEW MUSCLES ?

cause now I feel like the progress will be far better if I add more muscles than if I continue to stay focused on fat loss ...

AM I RIGHT ? I understand it might be hard to understand but it's also hard to explain ...

      actual bf is +/- 11%
      bodyweight 180lbs for 5'11"
you know I'm lean now EXCEPTED on the f****n low abs area which has always been a problem for me .. and it's the only reason why I hesitate LOL : lose it now or after ???

excepted that, I've striations on my chests, legs are cut, shoulders too, arms are veiny and top abs and obliques look ok ...

but I'm at this time where I hesitate to drop bf% again OR try to add new LBM while staying at the same bf% ..........

i think i finally see what ur askin. lol its kinda a preference bro. what are your goals, what do you not mind and what do you. some people can't stand for their BF to get too high. i usually don't care when its time to bulk. right now its winter so if you want a time to get a little lazy on the diet and just eat alot and grow, nows the time. or maybe not depending on how long it takes you to lose the fat. or even just how low of a BF% do u ultimately want to be at. in other words if i'm readin your question right, your the only one that can answer your question

Mike1107, i think that it is a personal preference. If you are satisfied with the way you look and your bf is at a decent level, yes go with trying to add more lean body mass. If your not, continue with the cardio etc. Just remember diet is the key when bulking. You can still take in alot of cals and not gain bf, if you are consistant with your diet and training.

            exactly mate !!

but the fact is I've done both bulking ways and prefer to have my bf under control cause at the end I see no differences excepted that I must hit the cardio harder if I don't care about bf % !!
I just want to make sure after more than 1 year of lay off that I'm ok to go back to roids , ... so that bulking will be good ... may sound silly but ...

after a year lay off. i would say after a month of liftin full strength and hard then its ok. maybe even wait 2 months. and again thats 1-2 months of bein back liftin hard and strong at the level u were at before. some might even say wait longer

Agreed. I would focus more on building solid/quality mass and let the diet and cardio take care of b/f issues. I personally battle with my b/f as well but it's a yo-yo syndrom that I use to battle when trying to cut...then bulk...then cut...then bulk. Instead, now I just try to focus on gaining solid mass and address the b/f issues with a cleaner diet and more cardio when necessary. Just my 2 cents.
