Re: a very very sad interview with a pro BB

I remember YEARS ago, maybe 1993, there was an interview with David dearth where he said the same exact things. Guys would turn homo tricks to get gear. Guys were so out of shape, etc.... He was one of the first guys to come clean on the subjects in his interview. If someone could find it, post it.

Its cool to compete on the local, state, or regional level - still some good fun and good times. I'll never take insulin again - not worth going hypo, even when you eat all the right foods in proper amounts! You never know what is going to happen! Also, I'll never taking duiretics again, except for a mild one a day before the show. Last time I used a harsh one and my ankles and calves blew up huge on a couple different occasions afterwards. Not worth it. I don't even like the super-shredded look nowadays anyway. I like the way the pros look in the off-season better: super-huge and awesome (alot healthier, too). I only compete in small shows and I enjoy it alot and will do it for however long I can, but won't kill myself for it!

I think that's exactly how they live. I have friends back home that took enormous amounts of steroids and didn't even compete. Hell, some of the guys on this board do. I'm talking 2 grams of test, 8-10 iu gh/day, 1 gram of deca or eq, 150mg drol, 100mg dbol, etc.

I do not condone the use of, nor do I use anabolic or androgenic steroids. My participation on these boards is for informational purposes only. I have done extensive research of AAS and enjoy discussing them for role playing enjoyment.

Maybe some do but BBers dont get paid that much so i dont see how they can afford 60K a year on gearr... Even if the did 365 days of 30IU GG i dont see how it could top 20K... the gay prostitution thing seems a little far fetched and i would assume they get bloodwork done way more than once per 2 months.. I could be WAY off, but those are just some thoughts i gathered...IMO this is some pro havin fun w/ some other pros.

Re: a very very sad interview with a pro BB

First, believe the gay prostitution thing. For that matter, believe the prostution thing gay/straight a lot of that is stuff is for sale, male and female competitors.

Second, we all know this is basically true even if you don't believe this article. Any high end sport involves sacrifices of the body due to druge use to improve performance. Olympia to Olympics when you compete on that level you need to go beyond normal expectations when it comes to drugs.

Third, how many bb do you know are now dead or have serious health probs? Sonny Schmdit was how old? Samir Bennuit (sp?), Andreas Munzer, Dennis Numann...

Seriously, let's do ourselves a favor and pickup some copies of bb mags from the 90's, next pick out the 3-10 place finishers from some of the major contests and do a where are they now on 'em. What percent do you think have MAJOR health probs?

The sport sucks but I love being huge so I'm never gonna quit.
I am, however, going to see it with an honest set of eyes.

                        Thanks for the post.
