  • prescriptions for anemia

I have a form of genetic anemia, my red blood cell count is abnormally low, which I feel has hurt my gains over the years. It is not do to any vitamin deficiency, it is genetic. My doctors have always known about this, though I never actaully saw a specialist or requested treatment, to be honest, the only side effect is that I get tired more often than most and have a hard time doing heavy cardio, other than that I am fine. My question is, do you think if I went to a doc, how willing would they be to prescribe something like anadrol (if it's still legal in the us, not sure) because it's used to treat anemia, or even EPO. I am on a cycle with eq now, so I will probably have to wait till i come off to get the blood work done. Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

ya bro, i doint have anemia but my red blood cells are smaller than they should be for some reason lol .. thats why my body makes more cells and i have more red blood cells than average person.. thats why i get iron shortage too.. i take iron pills all the tiime or i get dizzy... btw, the reason i'm asking is because I don't want to waste my with bloodwork and other medical expensives (i do have insurance however) if the doc is just going to tell there is nothing he can do or just give me some vit.b-12. I would love to have my insurance pay for my anadrol or EPO.

I have never heard of anything but epo being used for anemia. My sample size is limited, but I doubt you'll get any AAS. Further, epo is so expensive that you'd need to meet pretty strict criteria to get insurance to cover it. Do you know your hematocrit?
