i never used it, but u need a dotor to monitor ur liver and ur cholesterol level and the doc will take ur blood test in order to give u the right dosage of accutaine.

I used accutane but can't recall the amount. I think I started at the smaller amount and stayed on that for 5 months. I now think I should have used it for 6 months.

If you've got insurance got get it from a doctor. either way you must not drink, use any orals gear, and no sun. You'll need to get the good lotion Cel*** (sp) or the generic kind. You should have many bottles of the lotion, sun screen, and chap stick in your house, at work, in the gym bag and in your car.

it works well.
use in smallest possible dosage that works 40mg a day for a month skin and lips will dry skin take on new drier texture.

They usually up it to 60mg for another 2 weeks or month and than up to 80mg after about 3 months.

I did last winter 60mg for a month and 80 mg next month 8 weeks is all I had it worked wonderful wish I could have took longer my acne never came back bad since.

One thing I must warm ya is if you have aches or injuries it make may em worse tends to dry out lubricating synyovial fluids as well like winy does and caused me some pain in shoulders.

I did it off cycle since I never had blood test.

fuck that lotion I never used it to dry skin more or to lubricate???
I had avita and other various creams for acne and they did shit for acne.
Accutane was last resort or be a zit head.

I am on it now. My doc started me at 20 for a wk, then 40, 60, and getting ready to hit 80 next week. They like to keep you at target dose for about 20wks. I am running a small dose of Human Grade test enan at 350mg a wk while on. I get bloodwork about e2wks. So far everything is good buyt my triglycerides went up considerably last wk. I am pretty sure the test has nothing to do with it though. Accutane is extremely strong med and should be monitored by a doc imo. If not then I would only do like 40mg.

lowest effictive dose is best IMO
start 20mg when body adapts a few weeks 40mg's (you can tell) up it 20mg each time I got up to 80mg.
I heard of a few young puberty kids 160lb's getting up to 160mg ed!

Wow! 160mg is high. My doc sets the target dosage by bodyweight, 1mg of accutane/kg of bodyweight. She wants to put me on 90mg but I haven't even hit 80 yet and the sides are getting me (nose bleeds and triglycerides), so I might stay at 80mg.

I only had one nose bleed. Preacher curl's and the blood ran out. wiped it up and kept on training.

Really good info so far. What I would add is if your acne condition is currently inflamed, a short cycle of minocycline for two weeks before starting the accutane would be best. this will help reduce the exsisting acne and avoid the flare up of starting the drug. Another suggestion is to ease into the doseage. most docs do it now but there still are some that will put you on max dose right away and you will be miserable. I wouldnt run any gear during accutane the drug is very hard for the liver to clear. get your regular bloodwork and G/L
