  • Staying Motivated

What do some of you do. I find it so hard to stay on my diet and motivated if I'm not on something. It's like I'm doing great for a month or so and the next thing I know I wiping out a 1/2 gallon of ice cream everyweekend and a large pizza and for getting about the weights all together. It's killing me.!

Damn, I was just sitting here thinking the same thing before you started this thread...Its like when I'm on, I eat right, train right,sleep,etc...but the minute after pct I start to skip the gym one night, then another, then start eating junk food and then I'm worse than I was to begin with....damn its hard.

Sometimes it's just plain tough. For me, I'm like saturn, it's all about habit. If I'm in a groove, where my diet is keyed in, then I'm cool. It's when I get a bit lackadaisical, that I find it tough to re-adjust.

Bottom line - I accept that some days will be better/easier than others, and that as long as the big picture looks good, I'm doing ok.

That said, I didn't really answer your question. Ya know what gets me going? It's kind of narcissistic, but, I feel great when someone looks at me and says, "holy fuck, you're 40?"

I did great for close to 18n straight months. Abs were full and in . . . everything great, best shape of my life and poised to make new gains. Then I started drinking a little much and then I got my wife prego! Well I nixed the booze late last year and then started eating like crap! Man . . .now I am trying to really curb it but it seems like my body just wants the extra carbs! I dislocated my shoulder 10 weeks ago and left the gym behind for the whole bit. Went back after it last week and man I kicking myself for the layoff. I still look okay but the lower abs are hiding from me. That sux after having the package together.
Anyway . . .you all have been very motivating to me recently and i appreciate it. Specially DG and blinks avatars . . .geez dudes . . . that's enugh for me to get motivated.

Try to change things around at the gym. Try to fillup on things that are better for you and yes girls, even if they are yours like a well developed man, even if they like you still if pudgy lol. Also i find it helps to do something for yourself, buy some clothes, get haircut, grow gotee, anything to keep yourslelf new and refreshed. Become cardio junkie.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm planning on hitting it strict again starting aug 1st. I'm going to make sure I don't buy the shit when we go grocery shopping so that it's not in the house to tempt me. I must remember that nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

You just said the biggest part of it!! Having junk food in the house always killed me....I have always gotten junk from the store, if you see it everytime you reach for your protein powder, its like saying....."ohh...I'll eat you when I'm off cycle" I dont buy any junk now, my women hates it, but its my body.

Motivation is all in the head...everyone when coming off will expereince some sort of withdrawl. I lighten my workouts, eat properly, and read magazines with lots of pictures of guys twice my size......
I'm a Muscle Farmer....This years Crop is gunna be awesome.

                            Gyno is sexy!

ohhh man. This weekend me and the girl decided to go out to the movies and rent a ton of movies to watch at home. Just a nice resting weekend.

                              This is what I did.

Movies, 3 bags of m&mīs and a medium popcorn + a huge ass coke.

Home, 2 chocolate bars with penuts (I hate the fact that I love penuts) meat for dinner and some potato chips.

                              Day two,

atleast an entire bag of potato chips and I lost count of how many of those chocolate bars I went threw..

Well cleaning it up again today and about to cry because of all I ate this weekend. It happens man just have to try to get back on track.

What I do is keep pictures around and look at them, then have my picture next to it so I see just how fucking far away I am. That helps me keep on track.
I donno man but if it isnīt sore tomorrow all I know is you are pussing out.

quote from an old workout buddy.
