  • 2-4 week cycle opinions please

    has any one had any experience with short cycles "? they sound logical if small, steady gains are the goal. Im natty so far 46 y.o. thinking of starting w a short one .

    Waste of time and money, bro. This is your first cycle, do 500mg test-only (any test; test is test, whatever is cheapest!) for 8-10 weeks, diet sensibly, lift heavy, you're gonna be very pleased with the results. This assumes that your BF is in the 15% or less range. Otherwise, I would diet down as far as you can go, before bulking. Good luck!

      Don't go any less than 8wks is my suggestion. Would be waste of $.

        While I'm not an advocate of short cycles, I won't dismiss something I've never tried.

        I believe Bill Roberts (who used to or still does publish articles/columns via www.mesomorphosis.com) is a proponent of shorter cycles. He lists specific drugs/cycles which work best (cycles involving shorter acting drugs such as nandrolone phenylpropionate, test prop, winny, d bol, etc.) I believe his articles can still be found at that site.

        He claims he's had excellent results with those who've used cycles he's designed. It's some interesting reading nonetheless. You might wanna check it out.

            hey, HE, ive read montana , roberts, and Realgains, they all claim great smallish keepable gains. they also say its been the standard throughout eurore for many years. So, has any one here ever done a short one ?

                I think a 6week cycle could be benificial so long as you use drugs with a short 1/2life.

                IMO a 6week prop cycle would be little different than a 8 week test E cycle. Shorter cycles also mean a quciker recovery time.

                Myself, I would have no problems running a 6 week prop/fina/anadrol cycle. The only thing that makes me want to run longer is greed.. I just don't want to stop growing!

                  I read an article in Muscular development about a guy who did a ten day cycle...he was in mexico for ten days and and didnt want to bring anything back with him...he had also been clean for a number of years and stated that squeaky clean receptors were key.....cycle went something like this.........250 mg sustanon mixed with I believe 100 mg durabolin every day. 2 clen tabs three times a day. 50 mcg cytomel a day. 10 ius GH everyday. 20 mg lasix every day. Arimidex every day. strict diet. 1 hr cardio everyday.

                      SHORT CYCLES ROCK.......I will not run another cycle more then 5weeks unless it is for precontest next time I step on stage.....I FIRMLY believe in like 4-6weeks on......3-4weeks off(if U use long acting stuff U R kinda not off)......I have personally made KILLER GAINS My last 2 cycles neither longer then 5weeks.....I think it is B/C following a force feeding diet is hard to do for a longer period etc. & that is when U plateau....if U run shorter cycles, eat right the whole time....U make gains & never plateau...it keeps U looking forward to next cycle

                        This read is also summarized in many places online. Always remember that for every opinion there is an opposite opinion out there.

                        You have to figure out what works for you.

                        I have never done a short cycle (the shortest was 13 weeks) and when I go off, I'm off (no cruising). So I cannot comment on any anecdotal level concerning shorter cycles.

                        I can say, however, I've only done 2 long cycles and I am very pleased with the gains I have acquired.

                        I have adopted Dante/Doggcrapp's weight training regimen, yet I find that it may be too intense for someone who isn't "on."

                        Perhaps you should -try- a short cycle and see if you respond to it well (ie: get decent gains and keep them post cycle).
                        I know nothing about any of this insanity... it's just a fun game to me.

                          i know a guy at my gym that swears by 3wks on, 3wks off, repeat... test prop @high doses... he has made more progress than anyone i have ever seen. i can tell you first hand they do work.
                          currently cutting:
                          wt: 210lbs
                          ht: 5'11"
                          bf%: 11%

                          current cycle:
                          Off
