Here's a question for you guys. If you go through a vein and don't stay in it, does a little bit of blood go into the tip of the syringe? Because when I aspirate I get air bubbles. Today when I injected into my quad, a little bit of blood appeared in the base of the tip but like I said, I aspirated and got tiny air bubbles!

i almost always get few drops of blood when i withdraw the needle... even if i only get air bubbles when aspirating...... there is so many cappilaries right underneath ur skin, and those get damaged most of the time when the needle goes in, hence the few drop od blood at the end... if u punctured a big vein, u'd know it..... i had couple of times blood shoot couple of feet from the injection site... was scary the 1st time..

do you just have to push through the dizziness and sweating, or should you immediately go to a doctor?

I may have hit a large vein because when I pulled out a good bit of blood came out. I never get blood from my quad injections. It probably didn't squirt because I am using 25gauge pins. What do you think? Plus, my leg is sore as hell and its only been about 6 hours since I injected.

maybe u did... but like i said it's not a big deal really... it happens to all of us no matter how careful u are... and it's probably going to happen to u again... beside the pain and sometimes some bruising for a day or two, it's no big deal...

I have had a squirter before, too. I aspirated, and everything looked fine. When I pulled out the pin, blood shot over the sink and onto the wall. When I told my wife about it, she said she already knew....I didn't get up all of the blood.

You can pass through a vein and still get air bubbles. Usually, I feel the needle when it hits a vein. Sometimes, I just nick one and I have a nice little bruise to show for it...not cool in the bis, delts, or traps.

                        This is from basskilleronline:
"Do I really need to aspirate?
Those who inject without aspirating are taking unnecessary chances. Sweating, nausea, dizziness, severe coughing, breathing difficulties, anaphylactic shock, coma or death can all result from not aspirating."
