  • 1st Cycle, D-Bol and high BP ?

I posted a thread a few weeks ago asking for advice on a 1st cycle and have done a considerable amount of research since, taking into account a lot of the suggestions I received. To recap, here's my scenario:

    24 years old
    165 lbs
    5'9
    less than 12%
    6 years of training experience

Goal: 15lbs of retainable, lean body mass

Here is the cycle I'm planning to start in the next 10 days:

    Weeks 1-4 D-bol, 30mg ed
    Weeks 1-10 Test Cyp, 400mg
    Weeks 1-10 Deca, 200mg

    PCT: Clomid, Nolva on hand

I know this is going to raise some eyebrows as the dosages for the Deca are somewhat low, but many have suggested they are appropriate considering my goals and the fact that it is my 1st cycle. Numerous people suggested liquidex to keep the bloat down, but I'm fairly lean and don't really give a shit about water retention. If anyone strongly disagrees with this cycle, I'd still like to hear criticism, provided that it is accompanied by sound reasoning.

A major issue I still have to sort out before I start is whether or not a few days of intense cardiovascular activity is permissible during such a cycle. I will be playing soccer this summer, which means 2 days of intense cardio during the week. Is this not wise considering that D-bol can raise blood pressure levels? I've also heard that Deca can cause nose bleeds and such because of the elevation in BP. Comments?

Thanks to all who have been helping out.

Great post and very well written which is much appreciated around here. The blood pressure is not your main concern it's the reality of the cycle. With seven days in the week and two being wayyy intense cardio your not going to reep the benefits of this combo. And you already know this because I can tell you did your research. Your stuck to this cycle and at your weight I wouldn't change a thing. IMOA save the cycle or drop the cardio.

one way to decrease bp is to decrease water retention... lots of water, low salt, and ANTI-ESTROGENS will do this

I'm oing to go outside the box and say IMO on a first cycle no need for the deca and dbol you only need test alone. Do it alone then your next cyle add the others you want to know how you react to each AAS instead of guessing and wasting money later on something you don't react well to

Thanks dude. I figure that if I am going to ask for advice the least I can do is articulate my questions properly . I was definitely aware that the cardio would hurt the gains, I'm just not entirely sure to what degree the gains would be compromised. Obviously, you think it's not a good idea and not worth the investment under the current circumstances. Your advice is appreciated.

I think you make a great point. The only reason I don't want to go with the Test. only is because numerous bodybuilders I've consulted with said that if they could go back to their first cycle, they would do a combination of Deca/Test. It seems that so many people swear by this pairing, which doesn't mean it is necessarily the appropriate in every circumstance, but obviously it has been helping many achieve their goals. The argument seems to be that because your first cycle seems to produce the best results with respect to a dosage:gains ratio, it's a safe bet to go with Deca/Test.
