  • cant get a hard enough bicep workout.

i really have a problem with my biceps. no matter how hard i work them out, they never get sore unless i hurt myself somehow. i try diffrent routines, diffrent styles, diffrent bars, more weight, whatever the case, no luck. problem is i try and add more weight, and my arms just give out. so i try the 2.5lb additions to my curls, but ive hit a really bad wall with my bi's as far as size, and this no soreness thing. ive alawys took it as my view that if your muscles arent sore, you didnt work them hard enough. am i wrong in this thinking?

if im not wrong.. would it be just over training if i worked out the same body part twice in the same day to try and "shock" the muscle into new growth? trying to get my arms to grow has been a real challenge, and im deffinetly willing to try anything. i've heard stories of others working out more then once a day, but i never really thought about it. i worked out around 4, and its 10:30 and i just picked up some weights and did a few reps, and they feel fine.

i like being sore, but its not needed, i do 6 hard sets for bis and they are fried. Sometimes i get sore, sometimes I dont. Bis are one of those muscles on me that doesnt like to get sore. Same wiht my lower back-they both get sore sometimes, and dont a lot of times too. Everything else always gets sore. However, both grow so it really doesnt matter to me.

              Basically true.

You can do drop sets and also concentrate on the neg portion of the exercise! People overlook the negitive far too often.

Sometimes no matter what you do..you won`t get sore.. even if you do alot of sets with low heavy reps..or the other way they will be tight but not sore when you come home.

That`s why, everyone should take the entire week OFF aka RECOVERY WEEK.

agreed. i've been hitting concentrations/preachers hard this cycle, making sure i hit the neg portion hard. maybe thats what i was neglecting in the past

my wo parner is like that too.. i still think u can get it sore though...

Try doin some thing with dbl ( curls, preacher, whatever, even barbell), and do 10 reps to fail completly, after that rest pause ( take 10 -15 deep breaths and do 4-6 reps more ( keep ur form good) rest pause again do 1-4 more if u can , and now try and do some static hold for 30 sec after all that.. thats dogcrap training routine... try it see how goes ... but you really truley wana go to ur max...

my biceps never ever get sore and i used to think it was a problem, but the measurements show growth, even though very little, but they are growing. hit your back heavy on back day, that seemed to help me out with biceps.

Soreness doesn’t matter at all. If you are gaining strength then you are making progress. Strength gains should be your measuring tool – not soreness.

my biceps hardly ever get sore as well, but whenever i do incline DB curls, they are sore as hell the next day, try some of those
