torn bicep

what does a torn bicep feel like? ive got a pain in one of my biceps whenever i try and pick anything up. it looks fine though from eye site.

ive got a week until my insurance kicks in.

yeah i can barely afford it. hopefully in july i'll be getting that raise i was told i should get.

im hoping i just over did it, but i was feeling no pain until after i had to stop for a few min to go get some water out of my gf's car, and then i felt it, tried to do some more curls, forget it sharp pain that runs directly from upside down spot on my elbow, to top of my bicep. right up the middle.

Pretty simple, if you can contract the muscle, ie, hit a pose and hold it, you should be okay. Try that and when you get it contracted and full of blood take other hand and feel it make sure it is hard all over the roundness of the bicep.

Hopefully all is okay. If you can contract it, then most likely one of little injuries that will fade with a little restfull healing.

Otherwise it's doctor time.

Also, if it's a tear should be fairly painful, those muscle hate being torn, they scream out in anger.

it was hurting like a mofo last night, i took 6 ibuprofen and went to sleep with a melatonin. woke up this morning, can't even tell there was a problem.

sounds like a sprain. i would suggest taking a week off from back and bi's and continue with the ibuprofin, but thats just me. i am still recovering from a similar injury that occurred about 5 months ago.

could be. i'll deffinetly take it easy and see how it feels here soon. i was really scared last night thought i was going to be out of commision for a long while with how bad it hurt!

Torn muscles heal very quickly and usually back to 100% if addressed correctly by a physician. My right bicep was COMPLETELY SEVERED and has since healed and may only be 2-3lbs weaker than my left. Torn muscles are fairly easily diagnosed.

im hoping i just over did it, and its nothing at all. im laying off it long as i can, thankfully i did back and bis last night so im good for a few days. i'll take it easy and see how it feels when im lifting again tommorow.
