not sure if this has been posted ,but i`ll throw it up for all who are interested in posting there ...the Hootons started a website about steriod abuse ..please post but do so in a mature fashion and be considerate to the family
Dude.. I feel for the parents but i am sorry.... More people die from smokin and shit each year so why not put a site up about that u know.... steroids didnt directly kill him... he didnt do them properly and he hit a crash... he was the one that killed himself, not the juice... people need to worry more about other hard core, mind altering drugs....
yea i agree...its the painkillers and all those new drugs that kill...health teachers and professionals even say that steroids in moderate uses can be good for u as well as beneficial
yeah dude not steroids, he killed himself by overdoing it, a lot of people die from taking oxycotin and other shit, but i feel back for his paretns though
yeah well it wasnt just you ,they got hit pretty hard on some debates and didnt like it much ...if they read soemthing they didnt liek it got delete real quick ...no more fourm there .i assume it will be back up in a few days once they think this heat dies down a bit
i think its hard to say that steroids caused his death. he committed suicide. yes, its possible that coming off AS may have increased his depression, but i would be hesistant to say that AS alone lead him to take his life, or had a significant part in it. i think more information is needed.
there are too many unknowns. was he every depressed before taking AS? any other mental health issues? problems with girlfriend? family? or just high school in general. high school alone has led many people to take their own life and the lives of others, but we dont hear people suggestings to get rid of high school. obviously, the high school example is a little extreme, but i think its important to note that there are a lot of outside influences that could have lead to his suicide.
in all likelyhood it was probably a combination of many different things (probably even AS to a degree), but to single out one of those factors and blame the death solely on that factor will only lead to misleading the public.
one more thing. its incidents like these and the "AS in baseball" hype that is going around that makes people afraid to talk about AS and do research about the effects of AS. its seems taboo to talk about AS in public and very little research has been conducted over the last 50 years about the effects of AS.
people will continue to use AS. and unfortunately people will also abuse AS because of a lack of information and doctor supervision. what we really need is more research.
so if anyone from the media is reading this...stop scaring the public with misleading information and encourage them and the medical community to fund/conduct more research on the effects of AS.
