  • insulin question

Ok..this is NO flame at all, but its just that I cannot understand why anyone would want to mess with insulin in terms of bodybuilding. I work in healthcare and I see daily the horrible consequences of diabetes. Ive been lifting for 17 yrs and believe me, I know the drive to improve yourself. I can understand, to a degree, the test..but I cannot see taking the risks with insulin. I mean, what is the big deal? What clicks in your head and says..."ok..Im gonna shoot some slin"? Everyone is an individual and there is no telling what the side effects are going to be 1,2, 10 yrs down the road no matter how much "research" or "planning" you do. Someone explain this to me...

I think it is a number of things, a few may be that

    1. It is easy to get.

    2. It works if used correctly

    3. Most guys dont want to admit their form for using substances is sloppy at best and they think they will not screw it up and die.

    4. the good old invincible man syndrome, god knows I used to have that disease badly.

    5. Its easy to get, oh i mentioned that one.

    6. Some guys who think "steroids are drugs" "drugs are bad" dont associate insulin with illegal drugs because they are not so they feel good about themselves.

    7. I think all of us have wanted to be stronger, faster, better and sometimes it just overides logic.

those are just a few that I can think of at the moment.

the same can be said about a number of supplements and steroids. i mean, the same argument could be said about ephedra. There are people that are going to take it proper and only get positive results... then there are the people that are trying to get ripped and lose 50lbs in a month and hurt themselves. if you use insulin correct, it can yield some very impressive strength and muscle gains. its also very cheap and fairly easy to get. i will admit that it is NOT for everyone. its not something to be experimented with. unless you totally understand what it does and how it works, you should not use it.

Hey we live in the 21st century and science is allowing us to improve our bodies tremendously. Anything used improperly or with abuse can cause some great damage. If used properly I think it is ok to go.

One more reason many use slin is that you can limit your AAS intake and still make great gains without all the extra sides associated with excessive AAS use(i.e. hairloss, acne, etc.).

For some reason I failed to mention that I tried it. I took many precations and still at a few "mishaps". All in all I didnt care for the way it seemed to run me down.

Thanks HHM, I have been fat and happy after I was married in August.

Now lets see if I can get myself back to feeling healthy again. I think I know what those little hotdogs rolled up in dough feel like.
