  • 1st time Insulin

Wondering if I can get some feedback. I got a few ?'s regarding insulin.

    1) Max I.U.'s on a daily basis.
    2) Once or twice daily.
    3) How long do I cycle for.
    4) Providing that I'm being monitored in regards to my caloric intake, do I still run the risk of complications in the pancreas.
    5) I'm combining it with deca, test and d-ball, good or not.
    6) At what time in the day is it best to take insulin.
    7) Administration; where besides the abdomen.

Thanks guys. Just trying my hardest to get to 230pds by the summer. Your imput will be appreciated.

WOW....no offense... but if you have that many questions I would say do a little more research on your own first. Thats a straight up tell me how to use slin post. I use it myself...and I dont think its as bad as some make it out to be, but it sure will kill you if you dont use it right.

yeah, if you dont do it right, you certainly can go hypo and die. what is your cycle history? also, you need to have a PERFECT diet or you will get FAT fast. i agree with RU, if you have that many questions, you shouldnt be doing it

          NOW.... For those questions...

          1. Most people use 10IU's a day post workout.... but you need to build up to that dosage...
          2. Once a day for most...
          3. 4 weeks on. min 4 off.
          4. What do you mean by that?? You should be fine and not become diabetic as long as you follow the general guidelines...
          5. Yes it can be combined with just about anything.
          6. Never before going to sleep and make sure you can control your meals....
          7. Go sub Q in the abdomen..... It can be done intramuscular but is very dangerous and hard to control that way....

There ya go. Please head my warning....
That's just what I needed to know. I'm not a rookie. been working out for about 11 yrs and I've done quite a few cycles. I've always been very lean and have had a hard time trying to pack on pds. I thought I'd give insulin a try and I have done research on it. I just wanted to get some last min. advise as I already started on Tuesday. I'm takin HUMILIN-R at 7am and loading up with at least 100g of simple sugars for at least the first two meals along with protein and some complex carbs. Then my other meals are cosistent in protein, complex carbs and moderate amounts of simple sugars. I was going to cycle the insulin for 5 wks, but based on your recomendation, I'll stick to 4. Thank you for your help and I'll be sure to post a pic when I reach my goal.

the only reason we advise against it is because we dont know you or your experience. just last week there was someone who was instructed to do 1ml... thats 100 iu's! many people dont think it can hurt you, so unless you have experience, i dont think anyone would give you the go ahead. it seems like you konw what youre doing. Crank's advice is perfect. try to do it as far away from bedtime as possible. like 4hrs minimum. other than that youre looking good. prepare to explode those pumps get rough

I started out with 4 iu's and increased it to 6 just today. I'm planing on definitely going up to 10sometime next week. And yes, I've heard the pumps are intense.

One last question. How soon before it kicks in.

Once again thanks to all of you.

                NICE!!!!

By the way, since you're a moderator. I got an an email the other day regarding one of your coleagues passing away. I hadn't subscribed in a long time, but I just want to send my condolences out to you all as well as his family. This website definitely deserves a merit for all the info you put out there to enhance ones knowledge about the bodybuilding era and all that's linked to it. Good luck to everyone....

Guys, this is NO flame here at all....Ive been in the iron game for 17 years and I know the strong desire to improve one's self. Its just that I work in healthcare and see the horrible effects of diabetes and I for the life of me cannot understand why you want to mess with this stuff. I mean, I can see the test , but I do not see playing with the insulin at all, regardless of how much "research" and planning you do. The body is a finely tuned instrument and insulin is a major part of the body's entire metabolic system. Everyone is an individual and there is really no telling what the effects 1,2,10 yrs down the road will be on you. What is so great about the insulin that you take all the ridiculous risks? Help me understand this.
