Question about Delt injections.

Why is it that when I inject into my delts they bleed like no tomorrow. The first 3 or 4 shots don't bleed. The last few bleed like mad. One night, blood shot across the room when I removed the needle. I aspirated but still continue to bleed. Am I doing something wrong or am I just a bleeder??????

What gauge are you using along with the length? Do you swab with alcohol pads...bleeding isn't abnormal but you make it sound like a war.

I've been using 22g 1.5 inch. When blood shot across the room, I felt like I was in a war!!!

Try a 23g or 25g 1" pin and see how that works out...when pulling the tip out try slowing it down a bit instead of yanking it out quickly (if you do it that way).

How difficult is it to draw sustenon with a 25g?

It'll take you a little bit of time...draw with an 18g if you can...or use a new 22g, then switch tips to the 25g...you should be good to go.

i used 22g 1.5in. for my delts and i never saw one drop of blood....
maybe ur doing it too close to the pecs/colar bone... do it exactly in the middle of ur delts... cuz in the front u have some main arm veins and arteires going through... and from ur description above it seems like u hit one of them when u do it (usually blood doesn't shoot across the room when u poke a small blood vessel, but it would if u would puncture ur artery).. so watch out for that... and like Aragorn said try getting 1in. needles and see if it's any better...
that's actually my fav. spot for injections... after that it's the tighs...

22 G 1.5" in the delt?

DUDE! No wonder you are bleeding. You shouldn't need anything more than a 25 G, 1" and I would even recommend a 5/8" needle unless you carry a lot of fat.

Delts should be pretty much painless and should not bleed to much.

I shoot in the middle of my delt. I used to date a nurse and she showed me exactly how to do it. It's only shot out like that once. But it does seem to bleed more out my right delt.

If you aspirate before you shoot, but it doesn't bleed till after, it means you nicked a vein going in or coming out. It's not serious.

i just did a shot of fina.. 1.5cc's... 23g 1.5 inch... i pushed the needle all the way in (just to check how deep i can really go)..... and injected it in like 3-4 sec.. the whole thing.. (again to check how fast i can do it - cuz i used to do it really slow) it didn't hurt/bleed..... now 5 mins after i can't move my arm... kinda hurts a bit.. heh... but it's all good... i love the delts... safest for me... (even better than the quads)

Exactly! If aspirating is good, then it just means you nicked a surface vessel...no big deal!
