Saw palmetto is an herb used to treat men with an enlarged prostate, or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). There are no reports of interactions between saw palmetto and medicines or other herbs. But very little research has been done to test the effects of using saw palmetto in combination with other medications.
Since saw palmetto could potentially interfere with oral contraceptives and hormonal therapy, you should tell your doctor if you are taking a hormone medicine.

how much do u guys take?

I supplement with saw palmetto. Don't really know if it works or not, but it can't hurt. I was taking 320mg/d but cut it in half to 160mg/d. I figured it was pointless taking that much (maybe pointless taking it all together since I already take finasteride).

Deca and finasteride don't mix. Assuming saw palmetto works in the same fashion (if at all) in combating hairloss that finasteride does, it would be logical to think that it wouldn't mix well with deca also.

This is a question on the question... How does saw pallmetto work exactly? Does it inhibit DHT? If so wouldn't that interfere with some of the strength/defining bennifits of DHT? What about shampoo that blocks DHT, would that just block it on your scalp and let it do it's think on the inside? (although something tells me DHT blocking shampoo sounds too good to be true)

Any info would be helpful, i'm new here
