That's correct, I had to give up masturbation for a couple of months to get over the injury
I don't want to get toned, I just want to become a fucking freak.

I just work out because I want to look good with my XXXXL shirt on.

See what the doctor says, but best is not to do any excercises that require the arms for a while and then slowly start doing low weight excercies that strengthen the shoulder joint.... but I know it's hard to not work the upper body for a while. It's the only way I could get rid of that shit myself.

On the bright side you'll have some badass wheels and abs when your shoulders are ready for lifting again

well i dont know abput you guys but i have major back problems and am taking morphine and morphine immediate release and valium. so i fell no pain. in any of my work outs but if i miss a dose i might as well be bed ridden. back pain is the worst.

i am 25 years old or will be in 2 week and have sever degenerative disc problems and am scheduled to have surgery on my back next january. so i am going balls to the wall right now. because it will be hell being bed ridden for 1 month and not able to lift anything or bend over at all. recovery is about 6 to 9 months depending on how well i recover. i am so scared i will lose everything i have busted my ass for. i came in the game at 155 and am at 185 right now, but i have to have this surgery because i dont want to be on morphine forever, i was on oxys but that just killed me i dropped 20 pounds becuase i could eat and i just sat in a chair in a vegitative state. morphine is good but is still doesnt hide all the pain, i dont even use the immediate release. i have about 300 pills just sitting here collecting dust. i figure i will refill as long as i can. just in case. so if morphine cant hide the pain i dont know what will. well oxys will but thats bad.
good luck with what you decide to do.

A chiropractor I used to go to was an advocate of ART. He helped me with a neck (muscular) injury.
I also had some tremendous shoulder pain at one point. It was at the end of my clavicle right where you describe. He felt it, asked me when it hurt (which exercises) and he immidiately told me which exercise not to do again...ever.

Upright rows. I used to do them for every shoulder workout. I quit doing them for a couple of weeks, and no more pain. After about 4 months, I decided to try a few sets of them again. The very next chest day after that, lots of pain again. I have not done them in about 3 years now. No shoulder pain ever.

              thanks hungarian beast,

that makes sense as up to 5 months ago, heavy upright rows were an integral part of my shoulder routine,i was also a professional whitewater paddler, which i think iverused my shoulders.

Back pain sucks!I have 2 herniated discs, and at times I get pain in my sciatic nerve so bad I cant stand up....funny enough, lifting makes it feel better. Just cant go heavy on squats, or deads.

I used to have terrible backpain myself, when I started lifting the backpain went away and never came back, probably due to my back getting stronger.

Probably a different type of backpain than you makavellie, good luck with that and I hope you get it sorted, constant backpain is hell.

yeah it sucks taking morphine, though it doesnt make you feel any different like oxys but, i still dont like taking 2 types of morphine and valuim. the thing that really sucks is my legs are punny due to the fact i can basically only due legg extentions. doc said if i do deadlifts or squats i could really damage my discs beyond repair. so i have to wait to see how surgery turns out, i just cant bear the thougth of being out of the gym for nine months for recovery.

thanks orion and digital for the luck. i hope you guys never have to go thru this. i mean its not as bad as it sounds, the morphine controls the pain, but my back still hurts from time to time and it affects my workouts especialy my back and leg routines. but sometimes working out acually helps, i have the most problems at work though.

                        thanks bros.

9 months of recovery and no work outs will suck for sure, but it will be worth it big time if it fixes your back problem!

I gave up both upright rows and behind the neck press for the same reason.
