If you are having trouble staying logged in when navigating between forums/topics/etc., you need to reset your session cookie. Go into your browser and delete any cookie for the site them log back in. This should fix the login issue.
Damn if I'd had known it was so easy I would have been doing this a long time ago. The only thing that screwed me up was the filtering part. My whatman filter had a little connector on it that I thought the pin attached to and when I gave the filter some of the oil it went all over the outside of te bottle. I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOO"! I just took off the little conector and attached the pin directly to the filter. Very nice red color, totally clear. -

Really? Why did it get red? I mean its not red just red tinted. I used Basses directions, I just looked at all the methods and kind of combined several that I thought would work the best. -
LOL! This stuff is weird. I just went and grabbed the bottle out of my safe and its lighter than it was 4 hours ago! It still has a red tint but when you hold it up to the light, its a nice golden color. Is that normal. Sorry 1st time chemist. -crom
Yes golden is normal. The reddish tint is from oxidizing, and it is no big deal in terms of potency. Well made tran is a beautiful liquid gold color.
I personally never heat it, just heat the oil prior to mixing, then syringe filter with a .22 and have never had an issue after probably hundreds of pins.
