  • How many...

    grams of protein could say a 250 lb guy 12% BF handle at one time while on cycle. I've heard so many different numbers I don't know which is correct. I usually try to take in 50gr per meal.

    Mods move to another forum if need be.

      I think 50grams per meal or shake is a good number, thats what i always shoot for.

      I just work out because I want to look good with my XXXXL shirt on.

        50 is a good target. Get at least 40.

            i say 40 but keep it at 30, that way i use carbs instead of pro for energy...
            currently cutting:
            wt: 210lbs
            ht: 5'11"
            bf%: 11%

            current cycle:
            Off

              Thanks guys. I usually stay around 40 if I'm eating meat and I usually do 50 with my WPI shakes because they are absorbed quicker.

                that is were i went wrong last time!!!!! You would/MUST up the intake more! drink more shakes or meals! For the avarage man you will prob not digest any more than about 50g of protien at a time, you will just crap it out and waist your money IMO

                  I get in 8 meals a day...it is tough. Most of the time I don't even feel like eating but I shove it down none the less. Eating enough is hard work...especially while on.

                    5 meals + 3 shakes + snacks in between.

                    It's not that hard. Eating meals that are too large makes it harder.

                      The body is very good at utilizing all you give it. More protein taken at once will just take longer to be fully digested, it will not be crapped out.
                      I aim for 50g per meal. I eat 7-9 meals per day, but always increasing cals.

                        I'll have to agree with workinhard

                        You do not utilize 100% of the proteins that are in your food and the more you eat at one sitting the less the percentage of the protein is utilized.
                        I don't want to get toned, I just want to become a fucking freak.
