Gear and Surgery?

So, while I'm sitting here planning the year I'm thinking of some surgery I need to get done... then I started thinking I read somewhere that having been on a cycle before the surgery was a bad thing... and I can't find the nfo.

Any thoughts? Schedule wise I was thinking the surgery would end up about 3 months after the cycle.

I wouldn't think surgery three months after a cycle would be a peoblem, even if you were doing one of those marathon cycles. What did you hear would be a problem?

That's the problem, I don't remember. Seems like I read it 3 - 4 years ago but who knows?

The problem is related to controlling bleeding during surgery. Steroids can negatively alter the ability of the blood to clot.

If a surgeon is unaware of your steroid use, there is a possibility of you bleeding to death during surgery – even dental surgery.

The surgery can still be preformed without any problem as long as they know of the high risk of excessive bleeding; they will use the drug DDAVP (Desmopressin acetate) to ensure that the blood can clot properly.

does this also mean that while on ....we should pay more attention to any major cuts or anoything like that that we my recive?? and if we have to go to the hosp for stitches or something like that tell the doc???

Small cuts shouldn't be a problem. Even in patients with significant bleeding problems, they can be sutured without dificulty. In extranero's case, I think that three months after his cycle, his bleeding parameters should be back to normal.

Ok, so 3 months after shouldn't be a problem? I was afraid I'd have to pospone my first cycle in 20 years!
