Anyone using dutasteride??? (avodart)

I haven't used it. It's a very, very powerful drug. From reading various hairloss message boards, there doesn't seem to be a ton of positive feedback on it. Seems a lot of people are/have been complaining of massive sheddings, especially along the hairline. I'd stick/start with ******** (finasteride) and see how that works out. It's been used by millions of men worldwide, and for the majority it atleast maintains hair count. If you want re-growth, add some minoxidil and spiro.

are you saying that avodart has caused shedding? can you link us to some boards?

It's purely anecdotal, but from what I've gathered, there haven't been too many positive reports. Try searching the forums at www.hairlosshelp.com and www.hairlosstalk.com

Also, it's interesting to note that Glaxo-Smithkline, Merck or whichever company (I'm having brainlock here) manufactures avodart cancelled their last intended trials (possibly due to all the negative reports---dunno for sure).

the only hairloss experience i can find so far on those boards are people who are switching from finastride to dutastride. but its common for hairloss to occur when stopping finastride.
