that was exactly my point, physio did absolutely nothing. I dont want the operation so Im just going to deal with the pain. at first (back in june) I couldnt do chest or shoulders, now Im back to benching alittle under 300 but still struggling with shoulder exercises. Gonna really suck when the arthritis sets in

Your deffinitly going to need surgery if you continue lifting with that much pain. It's not going to heal itself.

I had it. Hurt for over a year. I tried everything. The physical therapy was a joke. It actually made it worse. I finally opted to have the surgery. It was Arthriscopic. They went in with a scope and a grinder looking thing and removed some of the bone to give the joint more room. It worked and I am better than ever now. I have the whole surgery on tape. My recommendation to you would be to find a very experienced doc if you decide to have the surgery. And don't let them cut you open. They can easily do it with the scope if they have the proper training and equipment.

By virtue of being less invassive, I would say yes. However, my shoulder scope took longer for me to get over than my father-in-laws' full rotator cuff surgery. I had the impingement ground off, some scar tissue removed, a tendon touched up, and finally new scar tissue created in order to tighten up the joint. It took me over a year to get back into the gym after the surgery. Now I still have trouble with it, but I know that it mainly stems from two screwed up biceps tendons. I can grit my teeth and bear it most of the time.

A shoulder scope is much worse than a knee scope. It is much tougher to deal with. Don't go in thinking that you will be playing golf a couple of weeks afterwards.

Well looks like I have a small tear in the rotator cuff. The doc put me on PT and if that don't work then I guess I get the knife.

                      This realy sucks!!!!

I got a cortizone shot from the doc... Ill see how this goes in conjunction w/ PT.. And then it would be surgery i suppose...
