I know Dbol only cycles are not recommended without adding some test enan to the mix as far as keeping gains, but how did bodybuilders in Arnold's day do it? I'd be happy looking like they did in Pumping Iron. I'm not looking to become the next Marcus Ruhl (yeah I know, Synthol). Thanks for any replys.
All I've heard is that Arnold liked Dbol and Primobolan Depot.
um prob lied about what they took. nah from what ive heard they took pretty low doses that mixed with hard training and outstanding genetics and you'll keep ur gains
NO! It's true. Maybe not as early as Arnolds time but before it was made in the labratory, GH was extracted from cadavers.
It's a theory as to why Lyle Alzado(sp?) got a rare cluster of brain tumers that he blamed on steroids!
If you think arnold took a couple of dbol tabs a day... you got another thing coming. If you think he shot a couple cc's of primo, then you're nuts. No one will ever know what he did.

That I'll agree but during Arnold's time I say no.
It was relatively low doses + plus hard training and genetics. Just look at their physiques compared to today's pros. Today's pros are freaks compared to the ones back in the day.

An understatement.
For the record, HGH was first discovered in 1956. Doctors began extracting it from the pituitary glands of cadavers and injecting it into children with dwarfism in 1963. This process continued (legally) until 1985 when concerns over the safety outweighed the potential benefits. So yes, it was certainly being used in "Arnold's day" and before.
